NASCAR will see 40 entries for a Cup Series race for the first time since the season-opening Daytona 500, with four open entries joining the usual 36 charted teams for the Memorial Day Weekend race. Jimmie Johnson, a seven-time Cup Series champion and four-time Coke 600 winner, will make his 700th career start driving the No. 84 Legacy Motor Club Toyota as one of the open entries. Connor Zilisch will drive Trackhouse Racing’s fourth car, the No. 87 Chevrolet, for his second Cup Series start and first on an oval after missing the recent Xfinity race due to a back injury. Two more open entries include Garage 66’s No. 66 Ford Mustang with Josh Bilicki and NY Racing Team’s No. 44 Chevrolet – likely to be driven by J.J. Yeley. The NASCAR Xfinity race will include Cup stars William Byron, Austin Dillon, and Chase Briscoe, as well as Katherine Legge gaining stock car experience after skipping the Indy 500. The Truck Series will have 34 entries, with Kyle Busch, Ross Chastain, and B.J. McLeod competing, bringing the total entries for the three national divisions to 114. The full entry list for the 2025 Coca-Cola 600 is now set.
